Supporting Our Sisters Grant Ceremony

Projects Supported in 2010:

Chrisney Elementary School:  Healthy Girls, Healthy Community project

Girls will be working with the Spencer County Council on Aging to serve the retirement apartments.

SonShine Early Learning Ministry:  Tuition Assistance

A grant program for families of single mothers in Spencer County who wish to further their education.

North Spencer County School Corporation:  P.E.P Program

A program for girls grades 7-9 to promote abstinence from unhealthy decisions.

Tri-Cap: Health Services Cervical Cancer Screening

A program to increase health care access to Spencer County women.

At the Supporting Our Sisters grant ceremony on December 7, 2009:

Leadership Spencer County received $245  

The American Red Cross received $1,000. 

   Crisis Connection received $500.

The Salvation Army received $500.

 Heritage Hills High School received $3,000.
